भूखे को भोजन देना और प्यासे को पानी पिलाना दुनिया का सबसे बड़ा दान है।  भोजन देने के बाद जब भूख शांत हो जाती है तभी हर वस्तु सुंदर दिखाई देती है । अगर दो-तीन दिन का भूखा व्यक्ति है और आप उसे नोटों की गड्डी दो या सोना चांदी दो , तो वह सबसे पहला काम अपना पेट भरने का करेगा। क्योंकि पेट भरने के बाद ही उसे धन दौलत अच्छी लगेगी । ( kids stories )

प्यास लगने पर तो सारी दुनिया ही नीरस नजर आने लगती है । प्यास से व्याकुल व्यक्ति को सिर्फ एक ही चाह होती है - पानी , और सिर्फ पानी ।  पानी न मिलने पर जीवन मृत्यु के समान है , तभी तो कहा भी  गया है,  जल ही जीवन है । ( kids stories ) इसलिए दुनिया का सबसे बड़ा दान किसी भूखे को रोटी खिलाना और प्यासे को पानी पिलाना है , फिर चाहे वह इंसान हो या जानवर । याद रखना दोस्तों , आपके घर से निकली हुई एक या दो रोटी किसी  बेबस की भूख मिटा सकती है। इंसान चाहे पैसों का दान करें या ना करें , पर रोटी और पानी का दान जरूर करना चाहिए क्योंकि इससे बड़ा पुण्य दुनिया में और कोई नहीं है। ( kids stories )
